FAQ about Online Education and Therapy sessions with Dr. Annie Vance

How long is a Q and A session with Dr. Vance?
Video Sessions are 20 minutes long. Your session time is held exclusively for you. Please arrive on time via video or phone as you use your own time when you are late.

How much is a Video or phone Educational Consultation Session?
The fee for my professional services is $80 per 20 minute session. This price covers non insurance holders and those out of state, wanting an Educational Consultation versus a therapy session. Longer appointments will be prorated at the same rate. Any Letters or reports requested will Cost $100.00 and upward depending on the length and content.

What Methods of Payment Does Annie Vance accept?
Payment in full is expected prior to your session. You can pay your full fee with your Visa Mastercard Discover. We can keep your information on file and charge your account automatically at each session if you wish. You can also pay directly through Instamed or your Jituzu Portal prior to the session.

What is the cancellation Policy?
If you are not going to be able to keep your appointment I require at least 24 hrs notice by phone or text to 808 740 4288. If you have already confirmed your appointment and are unable to attend, you will be charged for the session as if you attended. If you let me know as early as possible of your need to cancel, If I am able to schedule another client in your spot that day and you can reschedule within the same week, your payment can apply to that session.

Will my insurance cover these sessions?
If your Insurance Provider Company is set up for Teletherapy their standard charges and Copayments will apply. Dr Vance is Licensed in Hawaii and California so residents of those states can schedule online therapy with Dr Vance via phone or video as permitted by their insurance carrier.

Will I receive a Bill?
Online education is paid as services are rendered so you should not be receiving a bill. However If for some reason there is, a balance due on your account, I will expect payment no later than one week after the consultation session. If such payment is not made, a $25 rebilling charge will be assessed to your account.

Will there be a transaction Fee?
You will see a $3.00 additional charge to your total, this is a processing and transaction fee.

Is my session Confidential?
During a session using video or phone, I will not be able to guarantee that your overheard conversations will be confidential. I also cannot control your environment where the screen is viewable via video. Please make sure you are prepared for your session by choosing a location that is private, has access to strong enough internet to support the communication or phone signal. It is your responsibility to keep your session confidential. Recording sessions is not permitted. I will tele or phone conference from a confidential place and through a HIPAA compliant software.

Does Annie Vance, PhD offer online therapy?
Dr Vance is Licensed in Hawaii and California so residents of those states can schedule online therapy with Dr Vance via phone or video as permitted by their insurance carrier.
