How long is a Q and A session with Dr. Vance?

Video Sessions are 20 minutes long. Your session time is held exclusively for you. Please arrive on time via video or phone as you use your own time when you are late.

How much is a Video or phone Educational Consultation Session?

Accepted Answer

The fee for my professional services is $80 per 20 minute session. This price covers non-insurance holders and those out of state, wanting an Educational Consultation versus a therapy session. Longer appointments will be prorated at the same rate. Any Letters or reports requested will cost $100.00 and upward depending on the length and content.

What Methods of Payment Does Annie Vance accept?

Payment in full is expected prior to your session. You can pay your full fee with Visa, Mastercard, Discover. We can keep your information on file and charge your account automatically at each session if you wish. You can also pay directly through Instamed or your Jituzu Portal prior to the session.

What is the cancellation Policy?

If you are not going to be able to keep your appointment I require at least 24 hrs notice by phone or text to 808 740 4288. If you have already confirmed your appointment and are unable to attend, you will be charged for the session as if you attended. If you let me know as early as possible of your need to cancel, and I am able to schedule another client in your spot that day and you reschedule within the same week, your payment can apply to that session.

Will my insurance cover these sessions?

If your Insurance Provider is set up for Teletherapy their standard charges and copayments will apply. Dr. Vance is licensed in Hawaii and California so residents of those states can schedule online therapy via phone or video as permitted by their insurance carrier.

Question 6

Will I receive a Bill?

Online education is paid as services are rendered so you should not receive a bill. However if for some reason there is a balance due on your account, payment is expected no later than one week after the consultation session. If payment is not made, a $25 re-billing charge will be assessed.

Will there be a transaction Fee?

You will see a $3.00 additional charge to your total — this is a processing and transaction fee.

Is my session Confidential?

During a session via video or phone, confidentiality cannot be strictly guaranteed if conversations can be overheard. Please choose a private space with secure internet or phone signal. Recording sessions is not permitted. Sessions are conducted through a HIPAA-compliant software from a confidential location.

Does Annie Vance, PhD offer online therapy?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Dr. Vance is licensed in Hawaii and California, so residents of those states can schedule online therapy via phone or video as permitted by their insurance carrier.

What type of video software does Dr Vance use?

Accepted Answer

To protect confidentiality, Dr. Vance uses a HIPAA-compliant software for video conferencing. She will provide you a link by text or email to install the free program on your computer before your session.
